COVID-19 Updates

Please note: while we try to keep our guides as up-to-date as possible, the most current information on WSU Pullman Library operations and Services can be found at the links below:

Animal Health Library

The Animal Health Library is currently closed to the public.

  • Stacks Books - Request the book in the catalog record and have it mailed to you, or arrange to pick it up in a locker at Holland Terrell Library. Returned books now undergo a 72 hour quarantine when returned before they are checked out again.
  • Reserve Books - Please understand that these are designed to meet temporary problem-based needs of an entire population. They are not checked out to individual patrons as semester-long replacements for textbooks required by instructors. During this time of library closure we are scanning chapters from these on-demand for our patrons and other libraries on a regular basis. If you need access to a book in the reserve area please:
    • Check for an ebook copy,
    • Request a copy from another library through Interlibrary loan,
    • Schedule an appointment for time limited access with the AHL librarian 48 hours in advance.
    • Request a scanned electronic copy of the individual chapters that you need through the interlibrary loan/ILLiad system.
    • Look for older edition copies available in the stacks or as ebooks.
  • Reference services - please email or schedule a Zoom appointment with the Animal Health Librarian in the box to the left under "Schedule Appointment."

For questions about the Veterinary Medicine program, please contact the College of Veterinary Medicine. For emergency patient appointments contact the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
