A collection of tutorials and resources for getting the most out of the Spokane Health Sciences Library

Mobile App Instructions

  • If you want to obtain CME and/or assure seamless access through the app without needing to Sign In each time then set up a personal account from the WSU UpToDate home page by selecting "Register" from the top right corner
  • Complete the registration form using your WSU email but a different password from your network ID password

Note: You can access the UpToDate app through Open Athens without setting up an UpToDate account however you will need to Sign In each time you use it.

  • Go to the App Store or Google Play Store
  • Search for "UpToDate"
  • Select and download the app (usually the first option)
  • Open the app
  1. Log in using your UpToDate credentials if you set up a personal account, OR
  2. If you did not set up an UpToDate personal account then Login Using your Institution and select Open Athens > Start typing in Washington State University Spokane > Login with your network ID and password. 
  • Accept the Terms of Use

 

  • You will need to login to your account every 90 days from a desktop or laptop connected to a WSU network to maintain a personal account
  • If you are only using the app through Open Athens you will have access as long as you maintain a current affiliation with WSU

Accessing UpToDate

Access UptoDate ifrom the Health Sciences Library website under the heading Point of Care. You do not need to set up a personal account to use the desktop version, however you will need an account for CME or to use the app without needing to Sign in each time.

 

UpToDate has a robust Help section to help you get started using the resource. It includes a user manual, demos, and an FAQ. To access, click "Help" at the top right corner of the webpage.
