HISTORY 333: History of the Caribbean

Welcome!

Welcome to your guide for History 333: History of the Caribbean! This guide will provide library resources and guidance for working on your final paper. If you prefer to speak to a human or get stuck on anything, please contact me. I work with students and faculty on their research projects in the areas of history, fine arts, ethnic studies, and a few others. My email address is erin.hvizdak@wsu.edu and my office phone is 509-335-9514.

If you need immediate help, we also have 24/7 chat available. If a WSU librarian is not online, a librarian from another school will be available to answer your questions, anytime of day or night! Here is that link:

About Books and Other Materials

This guide is for WSU resources, but please know that we can get you materials that we do NOT have - for free!

Books: If a book that you want is checked out, or if we do not have it, you can order it via Summit. Summit is a group of about 40 libraries in the area that share collections. You order it, select your pick-up place, and it arrives in about 3-5 days. If Summit does not have it, you can order it via Interlibrary Loan, where we get it from a library outside of the PNW. If you have ANY questions on this, please ask!

Articles: We can get a scan of just about any article that you want. They usually arrive in 24-48 hours. You will order this through our Interlibrary Loan system.

Below are links with instructions and videos on how to order these materials, but please ask if you have questions as it can be confusing!
