Library Introduction for First-Generation Students

This guide will introduce you to all of the services available to you at WSU Libraries!

Study Rooms

Do you need space to study on your own, or is your group working together on a project? You can reserve study rooms in Terrell Library! Most rooms are equipped with a table and multiple chairs. Some have whiteboards and some have smartboards (you can checkout keyboards or markers from the circulation desk). To book a study room:

  1. Visit libraries.wsu.edu and under "Services" click on Book a Study Room.
  2. The GREEN boxes will tell you what study rooms are open. You can reserve these in advance for a maximum of 4 hours at one time.
  3. If you hover over the "i" letter next to the room number, you can see what the room looks like.
  4. After you click on the time slots that you want, click on "Submit" and enter your name, email, and number of people in your group. Then, check your email and click on the link to confirm.

Study Desks and Carrels

Throughout the library you will find open desks and tables for individual and group work. These are first come, first served and can be used anytime the library is open. Some of this furniture is moveable, allowing for maximum collaboration. Some desks provide an excellent view of the practice football field and surrounding Palouse!
