Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights report focuses on the impact of COVID on underserved communities and their education. There is interesting information in here that supports our request for funding to do a mental health assessment as well to provide services in underserved communities. While not all relevant to higher education there are some interesting pieces within this document.
The report, produced by the Council every two years, identifies key state policies to increase educational attainment. Informed by diverse stakeholders throughout the state, the Strategic Action Plan identifies Washington’s strengths and opportunities for improvement in a four-part strategic framework: higher education affordability, student enrollment, student completion of a degree/credential and student supports throughout their educational pathway
