My name is David Luftig and I am the agricultural sciences librarian and is also the librarian representing the RECs. I can serve as your direct link to the Libraries.
What this means in practice is I can assist with finding useful research resources, helping with interlibrary loans and off-campus deliveries, locating and scanning useful materials from campus, helping with off-campus connectivity issues, helping with library account issues, purchasing materials you need for your research or RECs, assisting with data management and sharing, and much more.
Aside from the information resources I help provide, I am here to assist you. If you have questions about the university, the area, how to get help or services, a research idea you're pondering, or anything else I'm happy to chat via whatever method works best for you.
You can email me directly or you can use this link to see my schedule and arrange a time to chat.
If you are off-campus and you want to use a subscription resource (like Web of Science) you will need to connect through the "library portal." By connecting this way you will be prompted to verify your WSU credentials.
If you’re on-campus, the Libraries will recognize your IP address and pass you directly through to the resource.
There are many ways to connect to subscription resources through the library portal.
For example, you can connect through:
After clicking on the database or article link you will be prompted to login using your WSU username and password. After entering that info, you will have the same level of access to resources as you would if you were on campus.
Also, see the guide to frequent off-campus connectivity issues.
