Animal Health Library

The Animal Health Library is currently closed to the public.

To access a print book:

  • Stacks Books - Request the book in the catalog record and have it mailed to you or arrange to pick it up in a locker at Holland Terrell Library.  These are due at the end of the term.
  • Reserve Books - These are designed to meet temporary problem-based needs. They are not checked out to individual patrons as semester-long replacements for textbooks. During this time of library closure we are scanning chapters from these on-demand for our patrons and other libraries on a regular basis. If you need access to a book in the reserve area please:
    • Check for an ebook copy,
    • Request a copy from another library through Interlibrary loan,
    • Schedule an appointment for time limited access with the AHL librarian 48 hours in advance.
    • Request a scanned electronic copy of individual chapters that you need through the interlibrary loan/ILLiad system.
    • Look for older edition copies available in the stacks or as ebooks.
  • Summit requests are borrowed from other libraries - check out is for 6 weeks with the option to renew one time only

Returns - return print books to any WSU library outside book drop or return by mail using the postage paid return address label. Books undergo a 72 hour quarantine before they are checked in.

Reference services - please email the Animal Health Librarian. We can schedule a Zoom appointment if needed.
