Veterinary Science is a subset of more than 4 million citations to articles dealing with animal health and medicine. To see how the veterinary subset is formulated, go to: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/queries/veterinarymed_details.html
There are 3 ways to restrict searches to the veterinary subset:
1) Before you search, select Show additional filters > Subjects > Show > Customize > Veterinary Science > Show from the PubMed home page. This will add Veterinary Science to the list. Now you need to click on Veterinary Science to search the subset.
2) Or, While you are searching, append AND veterinary [sb] to the end of your search statement, e.g. diabetes AND veterinary [sb]. This will apply only to that search statement.
3) Or, to set up a permanent veterinary subset filter, sign in to MyNCBI (registration is free), go to the list of Filters, and select Veterinary. At the same time you might want to add other filters, such as English, Review, etc. Various EBM terms are available, too.
