CAB Abstracts -Search tips

Go to CAB Abstracts' Advanced Search screen.

  • Limit your search to English language. (There are many references to non-English articles in CAB, particularly historical articles).
  • On line 1, change the drop down box from All Fields to Descriptor. Then enter the word history.
  • On line 2,  enter search term(s) that describe you disease, disorder, historical person or event (linked by AND or OR).

Optional: You may want to add a third line to include species terms, e.g. horses, dogs, cats, sheep.

Then Submit. If you see a View Full Text button, click on it to view your article. If not (and you are searching in WSU), click on to locate your article.
