Checking journal status

If you are trying to decide if you want to submit to a journal and need to know if it's peer-reviewed, or you need to know a journals half-life, be sure to check out Ulrich's Periodicals. This is an amazing index that will help you in with many of your journal quesitons.

A lot of this information can also be obtained from the masthead of a specific journal. Just type your journal name into Google and find the "for authors" link.

Citation Counters

If you need to keep track of your own citations and want to see who's been citing you, consider setting up an account with Google Citations.
